Húsavík Research Center, University of Iceland

The University of Iceland's Research Centre in Húsavík was established in 2007. Each summer 6 to15 students undertake internships or student projects at the Research Centre. It has good co-operation with the local whale-watching companies, and the students can collect data from the whale-watching vessels. In addition, a marine-mammal field course is held in Húsavík every summer, and lectures are held at the Whale Museum in Húsavík.
