Sea ice concentration from satellite data using SSMI at 12.5 km grid resolution

The sea ice concentration is estimated using SSMI radiometer data at 85 GHz, allowing to have 12.5 km grid resolution Sea ice concentrations maps daily since 1992. To obtain this we use daily mean brightness temperature data from radiometer (SSMI series onboard DMSP, SSMIs) and process the Artist Sea ICe (ASI) algorithm (Kaleshke et al 2001, Spreen et al 2008).
